Screw Amazon. They screwed me just this pass week on a order. Had order a roll of PEX tubing 500' long. Was a outstanding price of $168, or so I though. 12 hours after ordering, they cancel the order stating they didn't have it in stock even had said they did. Bad part, they charged me that $168. Was told it will be 7-10 days before I get my money back. WTF?

For example, right now (10 PM Thursday night), I'm promised these earbuds on Monday, July 1 if I order now. Thursday to Monday does not equal "2 day shipping". Sure, it might mean two business days, but they do ship deliver on Sundays and can deliver Saturdays. What is the delivery expectancy for you for this same product?

Price: $11.98 FREE Same-Day

Works really good for me. I don’t need one day.
Just the video streaming is worth $15. a month. Shipping is a bonus as far as I’m concerned.

That is not a fair example or comparison.

Does the post office have to receive your order, process payment, have item pulled from inventory, have item properly packaged and then begin the shipping process?

Use whatever terminology you want, I can order something on Amazon "2 day shipping" and it may get to my house anywhere from 48 hours to 96+ hours.
I order on Chewy.com and with their "1-2 day shipping" I'll get the product to my house in no more than 48 hours.

I think most of the people who DON'T complain about Amazon Prime, didn't have it back when it was new. When I first got it, if the item was Prime, it arrived in two days. Now, half the stuff listed as "Prime" doesn't even claim to have two day shipping. It's three, or four, or even longer.

I've also started comparing prices to local stores, and very often, the local stores have better or at least the same prices. I still buy stuff from amazon all the time, but it ain't what it used to be.

If I order in the morning sometimes I get it by 6pm that day

Same.. It helps that there’s a huge Amazon distribution center a mile from my house, though.

Get out of the boonies.

I ordered sunglasses yesterday, they'll show up this afternoon.

Had to order a water line for my refrigerator Tuesday, it showed up Wednesday.

If anything, Amazon has upped their game where I live.

I’ve gotten stuff same day.

But go ahead. You show them. You will probably break them.

Just think if Walmart retooled it’s stores and distribution centers for same day or next day delivery by its own delivery service. Pretty much most household/grocery items and electronic items could be fulfilled at by local stores same day, and other items could be shipped to stores within 24-48 hours and delivered once in store through its distribution network. I can see them moving in this direction as they started rolling out grocery delivery.

2 day turned out to be 3 or more enough times for me to already consider cancelling. Not sure why I trusted them for 1, but they got me again.

If they told you 3 days when you checked out and delivered in 3 days, would you still be complaining?

This

And to people saying I live in BFE, like I said before I live in Nashville. Major distribution centers in town.

If they offer 1 day shipping (or the typical 2) then they should meet it. This is the entire point of Prime. Don't offer it if you can't make it. It's become a pattern for the company that they don't meet the TAT.

I'm paying for a service so it should not be as inconsistent as it has been lately.

And yes, I did contact their customer service and no, I was not offered anything for my trouble.

Nashville. Which makes it even worse.

Never had a problem with Amazon shipping, especially Nashville with 2 hour shipping.

You must be a shitty customer. I've never had a late delivery. Been a prime member since the first day they offered it.

It's not free. I pay a yearly fee for it.

One day shipping means it will get to the destination in one day.

Is that what they specifically said? I questioned them about the two day shipping and they specifically told me that it means that it will ship out of their warehouse in 2 days. Not that it will be on my door step in two days. Again it is all about wording, and 1 day shipping is worded vastly different than next day delivery or overnight delivery.
