Am I the only one who turns cell phone off when going to sleep?

I always did this because I hate having to have my battery drain when I'm not even using it and have my phone go off at 4 AM every night because of someone texting or calling me. I always thought if anybody called or texted when I was asleep, I'll just talk to them when I wake up. Might make me an arse, especially if there happens to be an emergency I suppose. Anybody else do this or is it just me?

Might want to look into a new battery if it loses that much at night

If you have a landline, this might mostly be irrelevant, but what about if some emergency happens? Even still, how many people know other's landlines at this point?

My phone hasnt made a noise in 7 years. Its always on silent/vibrate.

I sleep through that and check it in the morning.

Dig into your settings and you will learn that you can designate certain contacts (family and most important friends) as "Emergency Contacts". There is a setting you can schedule to come on at bedtime and turn off automatically in the morning that blocks all calls and texts EXCEPT those designated emergency contacts.

If you aren't doing that, then I would be turning my phone off.

I use Apples Clock application’s Bed Tome feature. At a certain time, my phone will automatically go on Do Not Disturb, and then the alarm is already set for me to wake up.

I used to. Then one day my mom was banging on my door at 2:00AM because her sister had just died and she couldn't reach me. Phone stays on now.

Why not just charge it overnight like a normal person?

A. I charge my phone at night.

B. There is a do not disturb setting on your phone. If you really don’t want anyone to wake you up, just set your do not disturb mode at night.

Turn mine off when I go to bed, pretty much last thing I do.

My phone is my alarm clock, so it always stays on

I am pretty damn popular. Getting 4 AM calls gets old after a while though.

I get almost zero nonscheduled phone calls, much less at 4AM. I'm not a Boomer that can't use a keyboard or meth head though
