My life has improved. Between my back problems and Social Anxiety Disorder, I rarely left the house anyway. I still go to the grocery store and the doctor whenever I need to just like before. But now my son is home from LSU so I have someone to shoot pool with, play video games with, etc. Only thing I miss is going out to eat.
Don’t bother disinfecting the grocery cart either. And my routine has always been to grab a cart and go to the produce section. Then I get one of the plastic bags to put my produce in and I stand there for a minute struggling to open it. Then I say “frick it” and I lick my fingers so I can open the damn produce bag. Each time I say to myself, “Mmmm....tastes like covid.”
No matter when we reopen society, most of us are going to get it. Now or later. It is what it is.

Yeah, actually we do. Was kayaking today, water was busy after lunch. Beaches are closed but people want to be out on the water. So, yeah, there is a resurgence of outdoor activity.
You might momentarily see more people at an instance in time or during isolated activities.
There are not however more people out and about in public right now though.

Most of the time I just go riding anyway, no need to change that

High school football coach was putting his defensive backs through their paces at local park. Did about a 60 minute workout.
Saw people playing tennis today at a local park along with a couple of folks taking lessons. I was surprised.

I've been out and about almost every day. Still playing golf, hiking and riding my bike alot.
I refuse to participate in the stupidity; am not going to stand in line or wear a mask. We've had to make a lot of shopping adjustments. Things are alot more inconvenient now. Hate it.

I am outside more, I have doubled the miles I put in on my bike and actually running out of outdoor projects to do. I have curtailed my trips away from home but it isn't out of some fear but simple respect for other people.
I have no real concern for me with the virus, while I am in my early 50s I don't have any underlying conditions and put in 100 miles a week on the bike even in the worst weather and winter. I do understand there are people who have a couple of magnitudes greater chance of ending up in the hospital and dying from COVID-19 than I do. I also understand not all of them have family members to run their errands and buy their food or their close friends and family may be even worse situated than them. I limit my trips into public out of respect for them not out of fear of my own shadow.

I stay in more if I can.
I’ve always wanted to be socially distanced from in grocery store lines. Now, when someone gets close to me, I make an ugly face at them and sigh obnoxiously.

Well, considering two weeks ago, you are dead wrong.

No social places are even open, so wtf are you talking about? Riding bikes?

I made a grocery run today, and the amount of cars out on the road looked like a regular Saturday to be honest.
I think that people are starting to get restless and I foresee more and more a rebellion starting to happen regardless of what John Bel says.

I’m not a selfish prick, so I’m not acting like life is normal. I dont think Covid would kill me or my kids but I don’t want to be responsible for infecting and killing the more vulnerable.
The more vulnerable should stay at home instead of being selfish and expecting the rest of us to stay at home.

We’re not going out but I did go turkey hunting this morning and caught a few trout on the fly this afternoon. Gonna get a big Tom tomorrow.

was out picking blackberries
Our yard looks better than it has in two years and we are doing some work on our boat. Not bored at all at home and I usually keep enough groceries and freezers stocked for entertaining (which also requires a lot of toilet paper lol) so we have not had to go to the store much either.

I’m not doing anything different. These people at the store with masks on look ridiculous.
Posted on 4/19/20 at 1:02 am to tigersownall
I am not wearing a mask.
My other half saw two people get tickets from a police officer in walmart yesterday because they got too close to other people while shopping. That is insanity.
