it might not count it as "going out" but in my neighborhood there's about 10 families that all hang out and the kids play together.

I mean...has anybody actually told you that you need to be “hunkered down”?

Yes there were most definitely widespread calls to shelter in place. People being told to stay home if possible.
Have you already forgotten?

No you don’t.

I definitely do. Lots of people out for walks and kids riding bikes.

Theaters are closed, no youth sports, no mall, no school, it’s pretty much the only thing you can do.

I think it's plus that there is a certain percentage that has never altered their habits and another percentage that trickles back.

It's a win win. Most won't get the virus or at least won't get very sick and they can puff out their chests. Some people need that kind of thing for their self esteem. For the small percent who will either get sick themselves or bring it to their loved ones, it's less to get it when everyone goes back. If some happen to not make it, it's removing a bit of gunk from the gene pool.

But then, as seen right here in this thread, leftists also pretend there was never a push to get people to stay home and hunker down.

What exactly do you think happens at a gym? If you’re afraid of a gym then I hope you aren’t going to any of the myriad stores that are still open.

Every single one of those have come with exceptions to buy essentials, go to work (if required) and outdoor exercise.

You can leave your house. People need to stop being extra.

Then go ride a bike or exercise at home for a month or 2.
I've been on my bike but there's no way I'm going get on a bench that some 20 year old DB just got done sweating all over.

I remember being young and invincible and selfish AF. Those were good times and it is difficult sometimes being even a little bit responsible for not only myself but the people around me. But it is your God given and constitutional right to not be confined to your home, and I can respect that as well.

I didn't go out at all last weekend, but I did the weekend before and no one was out. Took a bike ride today and saw more than usual, but no big gatherings.

So do you quarantine during “normal” flu season? Because you have just as much chance of infecting some poor soul who is unhealthy enough for it to kill.
