Am I just getting old, or is technology changing things too fast?

I'm sure all generations had their moments where they maybe thought things were changing too fast and not for the better, but it seems like we've reached hyper mode with the rate of innovation and disruption.

I don't like it. I admit I'm addicted to my phone, instant gratification, etc. But the new AI capabilities, virtual reality, social media, just don't feel right to me. I think I'd gladly sacrifice the tech I do like to eliminate what I don't.

If not for my kids, I think I'd just want to buy land in the country and not pay attention to any of this stuff anymore. This seems worse than my grandparents throwing their hands in the air when trying to program the VCR.

Maybe it's just fear of change, but things seem worse than they did even 10 years ago. Much worse.

No, a lot of these things have been on the horizon since 2014-2016. They are just in the first stages of maturity.

You might have always been out the loop.

When you get to this point, but a nice rocking chair and start spending more time on your porch.

I miss the internet when everything didn’t fall under some corporate umbrella where all content had to be sanitized and censored to keep the suits happy about their investment

I was a 90s kid and had a wonderful childhood. Video games on GameCube and a gameboy advance were the big things. I remember having to tell my mom to get off the internet so the dial up tone wouldn’t ruin the landline connection. Things were getting more advanced but there was still 80s spirit. Now we have moms posting pictures of their babies on Snapchat and Instagram. I don’t know how a child growing up today can anything like I had growing up and yes that does scare me

I'm still trying to figure out how to bend the little plastic feelers on the bottom of my electric football players so they will run in a straight line. Leave me out of this.

woke workers invading tech companies have ruined everything for everyone.

i used to be a 'bleeding edge' geek now its disgusting because most tech companies spend more time preaching to us on their webpages and through emails about rainbow month and eco sustainability than some new amazing technical breakthrough.

It hasn't even gotten rolling yet.

Quantum computing is going to blow the doors off anything we're currently capable of. It's going to give AI the brain power to put us all out of jobs.

I’ve been waiting on the internet to go out of style since the late 90’s.

Looks like I called this one wrong.

I would love an auto driving food truck. Me and flippy would make a killing.

As tech becomes stupid easy, the real life skills that we old farts possess will become even more valuable. Already is.

I’m mostly worried about the AI and it stealing our jobs.

But I don’t enjoy a lot of new things like music and movies. Don’t like comic book stuff or hip hop and I don’t care about influencers. Definitely a dinosaur
