It takes a while to get tetanus. Go get a shot tomorrow.

If it’s been as long as you say then get a tetanus booster tomorrow at an urgent care.

As my Pops was fond of saying when I'd whine about an injury (sometimes legit)....

"Boy, I've skinned my pecker worse than that."

He said that one time when I had gotten older. I asked him just what the hell he had been doing with his pecker? He never really said.

Do you have the AIDS?

I just went in there and poured peroxide on it and bandaged it.

So you did not throw some dirt on it and get back in the game?

You gonna die.

I got a nail to the head while picking up old decking during a renovation. I went to the walk-in clinic at CVS the next day for a shot. It had been over 10 years so was due for it anyway.

I heard a doctor say “there has never been a diagnosed case of tetanus from a rusty nail”.

Google a video of what it is like to die of Tetanus and make a decision. At least with rabies you don't have enough brain left to know what's going on.

Contrary to popular belief, rust does not cause tetanus. It’s actually found in soil. Feces and whatnot
