I actually believe that you thought you were dying.

I probably wasn't as panicked as I should've been but I knew that coughing up blood was definitely not something good.

Just like the men who stormed Normandy.

You, sir, are an inspiration to Scruffy.

Sounds like super aggressive SARS infection from inhaling mice turd residue from those tortillas. You will notice decreased lung function soon. Praying for your soul.

What's crazy is if you had indeed died, no one here would've noticed. That's crazy.

Genital herpes of the mouth. Tell your boyfriend to get checked out.

Anyway the blood clears up after about 10 min and I can feel the very back of my tongue is a little tender.

Sounds like it was just a little prick.

God let you live. Thank him, then go out and brighten up somebody's day. Maybe even volunteer at the local soup kitchen.

Dohn worry, be happy.

This story of survival will surely become a movie. Im sure they will find a real douche like Marky Mark or Travolta to portray you.

With the background story being how his near death almost prevented him from proposing to his boyfriend.

Is it wrong that I read the OP and the first thing that popped into my head is the old Cutting Crew song.

"I almost died in your arms tonight, it must have been something you said"

Seriously, that's not really normal. Especially if you are 35 or over, go get checked out by an ENT to make sure everything's alright back there (no tumors).
