The main thing in the witness narrative is there are two people who allegedly was there. The one talking and a passenger. Maybe the police tried to corroborate and the witness wasn't being honest. Like others have said it could be there's evidence that straight up contradicts the evidence they have. I've thought about the narrative as something a lawyer for a suspect would put out to get a sense of believability. The people on this board accept that it could be dudes in hoodies. Read other forums and there a lot of talk about the victim buying drugs. You can get a sense of what might create "reasonable doubt" There is also something that hasn't been mentioned is that someone was a passenger in the car with the victim and got out and shot her and it wasn't random. Who knows what might be on video or the phone of people who were in that area. There are so many unknowns. I pray for the family every day bc it's a tragedy.
You know, you keep pushing these alternate narratives.
Where, exactly, were YOU a week ago tonight?
Because, I gotta tell you, you strike me as the kind who wouldn’t take rejection from an out-of-your-league bartender very well.

If I’m Kiran Chawla, I’m interviewing business owners all up and down Government to see who has camera systems and how many of those were interviewed by police.

Because there's a 95% chance it was, it takes a lot of work to even try to make another scenario make sense.

Nothing about that makes any sense.

That person would have left plenty of physical evidence in the car, also, if you're getting out to shoot someone, why cross the vehicle?
Just shoot them through the open passenger door and haul arse.
The type of people this girl associated with wouldn't have wanted to be on foot in that area at that time of night though.
Like I said, all these "alternatives" take a lot of work to even make sense.

Depending on the carrier of those doorbell cameras the cops wouldn’t need a warrant to pull the data through a point-in-time analysis procedure, and even then they’re not going to see inside any encrypted packets, which would take further analysis. The cops could look for large datasets going out to susp IP's over time but there's a certain amount of work involved there. I have a feeling BRPD doesn’t have the staff who possess the necessary knowledge and core-competencies for this.

I have that particular ring camera at my front door. The pixels are OK but it does not kick on until it senses movement 5-6 feet away. There is also a barber shop across the street with at least 2 cams, but it is set back from Govt.
ETA: I just checked and you can set the motion sensitivity higher or lower.

That’s not accurate. And I have reliable sources as well

I haven’t seen this until just now.
The Shed is planning a memorial dinner for $100 a ticket and all proceeds go to the reward fund. It will be October 13th and you can damn well believe my wife and I will be there with extra donation dollars being contributed by us.

Up vote. But damn I sure hope this case is cracked before then.

It’s infuriating that they keep claiming no video exists when it’s almost impossible to NOT have video of SOMETHING
You forget this the same group that can't catch killers in front of the mall/hospital...and have no leads on the 2 girls ran over on lobdell/Jefferson. They are totally incompetent from the top (SWB & MP) down. I wish the feds would come in and take it over

The feds are helping. Supposedly.

Eh… depends on whether they have managed to chase everyone off that was from the previous administration.
I knew one of their officers who did a lot of their tech stuff and he is at least competent, but also coming up on the end of his 20 if he is still there.

Here's what I sort of suspect is going on with the witness debacle:
Janeeriqua or Marissa, 10 years out of high school, took the initial call which came in during a tiktok viewing session on Friday morning. They took the info but in a hurry to go unpause that tiktok the caller so rudely interrupted, forgot to submit the ticket.
The Chief and other supervisors fully, 100% believe they've followed up with every single witness that has come forward. They're just unaware that this particular witness in question didn't have his official report submitted until Saturday when Janeeriqua/Marissa came into work the next morning and said "oh frick, I never hit submit" then hurriedly submitted it.
That very well might be the case and I have a feeling there is some "petty politics" going on. Kiran reports her interview with the witness who says he contacted the police and they didn't seem interested so rather than admitting anything, that would rather try to discredit Kiran.
After all, she lost her job at WAFB because she pissed off SWB and was recently kicked out of a public press conference so they would rather look like complete morons than be forced to do something because of a report by Kiran Chawla.

But didn’t the witness give Kiran/victim’s dad the name of the officer?

Also, an honestly, I think the best way this case gets solved is hiring a good PI. Someone that isn't playing politics.

That’s true, you identified the caveat. Who would want to continue to work under MP?
