but what will happen next?
Well there was a man who literally had his eyeballs pulled out off their sockets off of Cedarcrest earlier this year so anything is possible in BR.

Sure. Easier, yeah. But unless she had a passenger literally riding shotgun, she or they had no chance at all.

Chief Paul told him he believes the witness doesn't even exist. He has the witness's name and phone number, spoke to him a little while ago, and just demanded that Murphy Paul and SWB call him so he can give them the witness's name and number.
Wait
Murphy Paul is saying Kiran made up the story about the witness?

Apparently.
MP seems to think that if he and his crack squad haven’t turned something up, it doesn’t exist.

To make matters worse the owner of the shed has the contact information of the witness and voluntarily offered to text MP the contact information and MP has refused to respond back to the text message from the owner of the Shed.
It has been over three hours and crickets from MP.

I agree with the witness red flag statements. I'm afraid Kiran could be getting played. Anonymous sources aren't reliable and as much as I think Kiran is a true pro, I don't trust this unknown source that no one else has. Seems fishy to me.

Yep - I’m not too far from there - which is why the crime in the residential neighborhoods is concerning

An eyewitness to the biggest case he has right now and he doesn’t even know about it after almost a week. What a joke.

Here's what I sort of suspect is going on with the witness debacle:
Janeeriqua or Marissa, 10 years out of high school, took the initial call which came in during a tiktok viewing session on Friday morning. They took the info but in a hurry to go unpause that tiktok the caller so rudely interrupted, forgot to submit the ticket.
The Chief and other supervisors fully, 100% believe they've followed up with every single witness that has come forward. They're just unaware that this particular witness in question didn't have his official report submitted until Saturday when Janeeriqua/Marissa came into work the next morning and said "oh frick, I never hit submit" then hurriedly submitted it.

I wonder how Kiran double checked her story. Didn't the witness have a passenger in his car? Both people would lie?

I mean they should at least contact him.
And if they have and found him to be unreliable then it's not that hard to tell Paul Rice that.

I wonder if the police know there wasn’t a car on the other side of the tracks and just don’t want to say
Or they know there was one and don’t want to look like idiots

Pretty much. He told the owner of The Shed that he has no idea who this witness in question is. Either someone is lying, someone is incompetent, or someone didn't do their job.

Did you not watch The Interview Kiran just did live with the Owner of the Shed and Allie's dad? They both know the name and phone number of the witness and defended his statement. Murphy Paul hasn't asked anyone for the guy's name and number while his Top Violent Crimes guy denied the witness exists.

That's an interesting angle, not gonna lie. I also still hold some belief that the police aren't acknowledging the witness so as to make him think he's insignificant when in reality they think he's the biggest suspect. Maybe by pretending he doesn't exist they think he won't get spooked and leave.

The problem with that is I knew about this witness days ago. How do I know details the chief doesn’t?

I suspect this a road rage incident by some lunatic thug with a powerful gun. The train blocked the road. Something about Allie eating french fries and trying to turn around. Is it possible she accidentally bumped into some lunatic thug's car trying to backup and turn around, the lunatic yelled at her to stop and then pulled out his gun and blew her away because she hit or was about to bump into his car. The thug who shot her, may have not even realized who he was shooting or was blinded by rage. After he kills her, he comes to his senses after going mad due to road rage and gets the hell out of there. If this was gang related - the police would have this solved. Nobody can keep a secret in the hood. I think one person was involved and it was a road rage incident.

The owner said the witness spoke to a detective in BRPD named Nick Jarkowski (I may be a little off on that last name) and that he (the owner) has also talked to the witness. Murphy Paul apparently doesn’t know that his own department has made contact with the witness.
It’s at about 5 1/2 minutes into Kiran’s interview.

I'm kinda starting to believe the police are intentionally pretending the witness doesn't exist because it's essential to the investigation. If he talked to a detective that The Shed's owner can call out by name, that's very specific and makes me believe the owner of The Shed may have unintentionally given secret information to the public by saying that. Really starting to wonder if the police not acknowledging this witness is by design. We'll be able to tell if suddenly that guy and Paul Rice both get tight-lipped about this witness existing after having the police chief meet with them to tell them "hey, stfu about this witness stuff, yes he exists but just trust me, you can't talk about it right now".

It seems like the witness would know that and would stop trying to get them to acknowledge him.
