There's really nothing wrong with the city itself- which would be a really great town if all of the violent shite bags slumming here would somehow be removed.
There is a death culture here- and it is ruining everything about BR. The truth is there are safer places in Somalia.
Hiring mercenaries is obviously off the table, so the only advice I'd offer is be as alert as possible- and do whatever you can to protect yourselves.

I have heard her dad is part owner or invested somehow in the Shed BBQ off Burbank. All the staff there is so nice. Her 2 brothers worked there with her. Maybe we could get something going through The Shed?

Several of you need to watch some true crime shows. The jilted lover angle is POSSIBLE, but highly doubtful. A pissed off ex isn’t going to go crazy and gun her down in the middle of the street. Could it have been a hit? Sure…but the chance of that is extremely small.
That applies to someone she turned down at a bar. If that is what happened, there would be some signs that will be revealed shortly.
Stealing the cross could be one of two things. A serial killer wanting to get a trophy, or someone wanting some metal. Serial killers usually accompany crimes with rapes, assaults, theft of some sort, and patterns.
Face it, the stats suggest this was BR thuggery at its finest.

Totally agree. If this is run of the mill nonsense, the police already know who did it. If not exactly, they have a very good idea. These types are well-known to law enforcement, as they have likely been in trouble with the law as young teenagers. It's an unfortunate reality.
Now, if this is another type of murderer - like a serial killer - then we have an entirely different problem on our hands.
Either way, I hardly slept all weekend. I'm mad, and I want my city back.

I mentioned in an earlier thread that this may end up being as random and difficult to solve as Shelby Holmes' murder in 2013.
He was murdered while walking home near 1700 Braddock street about 4000' away from where Allie Rice was murdered.
