People need to stop bringing up far out theories like a serial killer. The situation is bad enough without stoking the fear even more. Nothing about this incident points to a serial killer.

The only thing that remotely points to a serial killer is the cross being stolen. The killer could be wanting a trophy. Other than that, everything else points to this being some ghetto gang shite or some lone thug.

This is just basic brutal thuggery.

The only thing these animals will understand is fear and pain. Make it clear that if decent citizens don’t want to be caught in the coming storm, they should turn this filth in. If not, they best not stand in the way.

Absolutely. Went to McKinley middle with him and always loved his President Reagan impressions.

Then as adults I'd often see him working as an usher at LSU Baseball Games.

Last time I saw him was by chance at a gas station in LaPlace on the way to the BCS championship on 1/9/2012.
He was with Carl The Cat as they were close friends.

More than likely a gang initiation. They knee there would be sitting sucks at a train crossing. Sickening.

Any thug that has “worked” that area knows cars stop for the trains and are easy prey. That information isn’t exclusive to gangs.

I just said that if it's everyday ghetto stuff, the police likely have a very good idea of who did it. Maybe not the person who pulled the trigger, but the general group.

I don't think it's a serial killer, but who knows? Do you? The way this girl was murdered was quite intentional. They wanted her to die. And it's as likely as anything this isn't their first time, hence "serial" killer. I'm not sure anyone can add to that fear by a post on TD.

Serial killers usually rape strangle stab or touch their victim in some way. They do something “personal” to the victim. So i think we can rule that out.

Like others I’m thinking a hot head, youngish with no impulse control. I find it odd LE has not mentioned the bar she was at and that we have not heard from friends in the news. What she did that night. Who she was with etc etc etc. This says to me that LE has asked them to stay quiet. When they are quiet, they are usually onto something. At least in missing persons cases, that is how it usually works.

Everyone gets irate when they go silent, but it’s usually because they have almost solved it. They would have at LEAST released a still shot of the perp. Doesn’t matter if it’s just a hoodie. Even just a robbery of a convenience store they release just a hoodie still shot.

So I’m hoping they are closing in on someone but not telling the public so the perp stays comfy

This is waaaaay outside the box. But Friday morning police arrested a young black guy for the attempted kidnapping at east laville hall, the LSU honors dorm. If he was in a gang, is it possible the gang killed her in retaliation for the arrest? You take one of ours, we kill one of yours? This time we strike off campus though….
I know far fetched but trying to brain storm….

To me those gunshots did not sound like a .22 and with no visible bullet holes or splintering in the windshield i would rule out that the firing came from the front of the vehicle

That would suggest these guys knew this girl that worked there, knew the route she would take, and managed to get this planned and executed in a short amount of time. I know criminals can be smart, but I don’t think that’s the case here.

Don’t Gangs usually kill members of other gangs for initiations? If they killed random members of society we’d hear about it. I’ve never heard about a gang just randomly killing some innocent random person for no reason at all. Drugs, a fight, he wouldn’t give me his shoes, a gold chain, road rage, revenge etc etc. But not this.

Now maybe the initiation/rite of passage was to carjack her and it went wrong because she said oh hell no abd threw the car in reverse. then perp got mad because she “embarrassed” him in front of the “elder” gang members??

I’m shocked by how good of a shot he was. I read somewhere that there were 10 shots in her and they were all in her arm and chest.

Thinking this as well. They have been suspiciously tight lipped & I think it’s for a reason.

She wasn’t going to or leaving work. She had just left a bar with her friends and was heading back to her apt.

I agree, but where is the reportage in your local morning newspaper?
