Objectively, what lifestyle do you see for that field?

I really feel for her family, but people have many lives that they may not share.

You are such a jackass. You won't quit until this thread is about responding to your jackass remarks.

Downplaying others spitballing what no one knows, yet you have no problem presuming this girl had a secret nefarious life...

Imagine her parents and family and what they are going through.

frick off.

Occums razor

Hood rat walking. Gets stopped by same train. Sees car stopped by train. Approaches car to rob, carjack, abduct or whatever came to mind. Girl tries to turn around, maybe even drives toward hood rat in attempt to get away. Hood rat empties clip into car and then runs on foot. No one hanging around to steal after emptying a clip into a person on a public street. Hood rat pissed she did not follow orders, probably with gun pointed at her or brandished.

Most plausible theory.

Stop trying to apply normal human logic to these filth. You are having trouble because you are trying to find a sane reason.

There isn’t. Evil walks among us.

If you are right, this will happen again.

However - Think of every shooting that occurs in urban areas in the US. It happens daily. Hourly even. The motive is almost always some type of drug deal, gang dispute, theft or a carjacking. Allison isn’t a known drug user, and she’s not in a gang. And nothing was stolen, including her car.

So I would definitely be looking at acquaintances and talking to all of the people with her that night to see if they were creeped out by someone at the bar.

Not saying it’s impossible, but It’s extremely rare for a murder like this to be entirely random. It’s not the first rock I’d kick over if I were investigating this. I’d absolutely be combing over security tapes from where she was in the 24 hours before this happened - and every traffic camera in between.

I admit that part of me would rather this make some sense. A “why”, even if it’s ridiculous, is more comforting than realizing that we have a killer out there that’s just targeting people again like the beltway sniper, Derek Todd Lee, that scum bag in Memphis that wanted to kill white people, or that other scum bag in New Orleans that’s shooting cars on I-10.

I think someone shot up the car when she refused to open the door and they ran off because of all of the commotion before they could rob/carjack her etc. Sadly, I think this was just a wrong place wrong time type of situation and a young girl alone looked like an easy target.

She is an absolutely beautiful girl.

Her & her co-workers.

She was stopped at a railroad crossing around 2:20 a.m. and tried to make a U-turn when the bullets started flying, witnesses told 4WWL.

I am not familiar with this area. Any businesses around that maybe got security footage?

There are a few small businesses right around there and Red Stick Social is reasonably close. But if it's some dude wearing a hoodie at night how useful will that footage be? Government gets a little sketchy between BR High and downtown and that's where this happened.

I think in your analogy there are three animals: Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs.

Wolves are bad. The sheepdogs are good.

Probably not legal firearm purchase. However anyone buying ammo could be a match. Brand and caliber specific from those found. Could narrow it down significantly.

You can buy ammo with cash or order online. Really difficult to trace. There's not much record of that either.

Was she going westbound on Government? If so - where was she going at 2 am? Does she live downtown or something?

Well she was a Senior at LSU studying marketing, she could’ve been using Government St to get back on the interstate to take Dalrymple back to her place close to campus or potentially Nicholson back to off campus housing. Prior, she had met friends at a bar and got some fast food at a place that hasn’t been announced in the news as of yet.

Or was she trying to lose someone that was following her?

More than likely not. The theory that makes the most sense is that tPOS ambushed her and were waiting for someone to get stopped at the train tracks as a train passed by for an armed robbery or car jacking.

It's crazy to make assumptions.

However, she was at a BBQ joint.
In addition, she was doing this while in college. The drug use etc was way higher amongst the "lifers" vs "college kids" when I was in the service industry in college.

In addition, it wasn't like she was shot on some side street next to a drug house.

Except when the sheepdogs aren’t protecting the flock because they have been neutered by the incompetent at best, evil at worst shepherds.

I’m saying that sometimes fire needs to be fought with fire.

Sometimes it takes wolves to hunt wolves

possibility of the shooter being on the train,

Nope. All of the spent brass was found in the street by the curb, around 50-75 feet east of the tracks. The evidence markers have been shown on the news. Go look on Google street view and see where that is, then look at the pictures of where her SUV ended up. Somebody was standing at/on that curb shooting at her.

I think she was out with friends, grabbed some good before going home and someone saw her by herself and hollowed her. The train there was by chance and they boxed her in.

Just a guess. A crime if chance.

It’s simple in some regard

If you can trace the gun based on the rifling/casing to someone who hasn’t recently filed a report then it is probably a lover/stalker/sicko/road rage

If you can’t then it’s a botched car jacking, road rage with a street thug, and or “hate crime” targeting

So…can the gun be traced? Is it registered? If no…then we get a much clearer picture off the bat

Well then stop. It’s not going to.

What Makes sense is that some people have a cancer culture that is so rotten that they find this behavior tolerable if not acceptable.

We can no longer have these rabid beasts next to the sheep. They must be bought out, beaten out or burned out.

If you aren’t willing to make hard choices and get your hands dirty, then you might as well surrender your lambs and lands.

This is not a easy road to walk, and the devils will condemn you, because they know that the demons doing these despicable acts are theirs.

Don’t worry about what they say. They will say what they will.
Simply stay the course.

Also, looking at the map, that is a terrible part of town at 2am. It’s also in between two bus stops making the crime a tad more complicated if the gun is untraceable. There could be some foot traffic there.

Witnesses say Rice was stopped at a train crossing in the 1500 block of Government Street around 2:20 Friday morning, she tried to make a U-turn and someone started shooting.

Neighbor Floyd Normand heard the shots.

“We’ve got a lot of problems here, you know what I mean,” Normand said “You’ve got people doing things they should not be doing, stuff like that. I’m trying to stay focused, stay out of that life, and be in my house. When night falls, I try to be in my house.”

The part of Government Street where Rice was shot is near the Electric Depot, a popular late-night gathering spot for students and young professionals.

Baton Rouge police are investigating the shooting.

“I just left the scene prior to coming here,” Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul said. “Our detectives are out there canvassing the area. A lot of the investigative efforts that are going on behind the scenes. Very sad. Very sad.”

Rice worked at a barbecue restaurant just off campus called The Shed.

Her co-workers say she had a smile that could light up a room.

“Her whole life ahead of her,” Shed co-owner Luke Forstmann said. “She was so proud about an internship and graduating. She was just such an amazing girl with so much ahead of her.”

“It’s just devastating,” Shed co-owner Chez Ciccone said. “My staff, they’re crying. She was a part of our family.”

Rice’s family is also part owners of the Shed.

Some of her brothers and sisters also work there.

Her friends are asking anyone who knows anything about this shooting to please call the police.

“Somebody knows something, and this was just another night for them,” Ciccone said. “Whoever did this has no heart.”

“When it strikes home this close, it’s beyond painful,” Forstmann said.

LSU released this statement this morning saying:

"The LSU community is saddened to hear of senior Allison Rice being killed overnight. Her family and friends are in our thoughts, and we encourage anyone who may have more information about this crime to contact Baton Rouge Police.

So she was working and was driving home? I saw that she was eating french fries in the car waiting on the train. ETA: As seen in the OP.

Multiple sources say Rice was shot about 10 times in the early morning hours of Sept. 16th around 2:20am and died on the scene.

Officers found the scene when they responded to a call for “shots fired” from a nearby shot spotter that picked up 10 rounds fired. Evidence on the scene included multiple shell casings. Plus, her vehicle had several bullet holes.

An autopsy reveals Rice’s cause of death was a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds. Rice took several bullets to her arm and chest area.

Sources say they have now confirmed Rice was in fact waiting for a train to finish crossing on Government St. when she was shot. She had just left an establishment in mid-city, which is why she was on Government St. headed eastbound.

In fact, officials found fast food in her lap and evidence that she was eating fries as she was shot.

Multiple sources say they have not found any evidence of a robbery or an attempted robbery. For now, it does not appear that this was a mistaken identity case. Several sources have said investigators are truly at a loss to determine the motive behind this particular shooting.

Rice was a marketing senior at LSU. She worked at the Shed BBQ on Burbank along with her two brothers.
