Says she was heading East. I’m assuming that was due to her making the u-turn. Must’ve already made the turn by the time she was shot.

You got Eddie Robinson Dr that feeds into the Myrtle Walk area right there too. It’s one of the most deadliest areas in BR, outside of the Gus Young area, Mall City, and the Zion City projects.

That's a lot more reasonable event than the random improbable gang fantasy that people keep mentioning.

Are there lots of incidents of random attacks for gang initiations in BR?

No, but the chances of a white male jilted customer are slim and none.

The highest percentage is this is a black male, 15-30 years old, involved in a car jacking or random act of violence.

Are car jackings a big deal in BR now? Really asking because I don't keep up with that.

The random attack I get, still seems odd. The carjacking is believeable, but 10 shots while moving and all.

Honestly haven't heard anything that seems like 'yep, that is it.'

Six shots with nothing taken…that could just as easily be some drunk prick that she (or someone that looks like her) turned down at one of the many bars on Government street. And I agree with the posters saying that the cops should absolutely be watching the area where friends are placing flowers and photos. How often do hood rats shoot someone without stealing?

The army did a study about 60 years ago and they concluded that if shite hit the fan about 20% of the population had an IQ so low that they were completely useless and could find no job for them in the war effort. Not even filling bags with sand.

You are in that number

Yes car jacking are becoming more common place than they used to be. Shoot the car jacket laws changed the trajectory of the practice. Now they target women.

Especially if some random hood rat is stopped on a corner with no transportation as has somewhere they want to go and single female comes to a stop on a deserted street in front of them.

I am of the school of thought that she was shot at or threatened when she turned around east. The surfacing of the audio makes it sound like she was stomping it during, and after the shooting.

They found nothing on security cameras. Maybe crime cameras will halp?

Family announced her funeral. I see in the other thread someone stole her memorial cross. That is downright evil.
quote:

"When you hear the words from the police man saying, 'she's with the coroner now, she didn't make it.' It's the most devastating words you can ever hear," Paul said.

Now her family is pleading for answers. Surveillance video from businesses along Government Street have not lead to any significant developments so far.

"We just hope that somebody speaks up, somebody that knows something, somebody that was here in this area, please if you've seen anything, call the police department, call crime stoppers, call somebody, tell somebody, call me."

Police say they are working tirelessly to piece together what shreds of information they can gather to quickly identify the killer, and pushing to get crime cameras in the area, faster.

"Chief Paul has been working hard with getting the camera surveillance systems up, we have that downtown, were trying to push it and make it happen down to major corridors for Baton Rouge. Florida Street, Government Street," said Sgt. L'Jean McKneely with Baton Rouge Police.

But now, her family clings on to hope to find her killer, and urging those to be aware of their surroundings.

"Travel in groups, stay together, get home together, spend the night together if you have to," Kay said.

A gathering will be held for Allie on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, located at 13533 Airline Highway in Gonzales.

Visitation will resume 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 15208 Hwy 73 in Prairieville, until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.

She'll be laid to rest at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Prairieville.

As of Saturday afternoon, officers said they do not have any leads in Allie's death. Anyone with information should call (225) 389-2000.

Whoever killed her was on foot. If not they would already have a short list of suspects because there is so little traffic there around that time you could get all the security cam footage in a block radius and find every car that came by in those 5-10 min. Not to mention you know the car didn’t come from one complete side of the tracks because the train was running.

The killer was on foot

The only person wandering those streets armed at that time of the night is exactly the type of person we think it is.

What I”m thinking is, you have for example a Blazer 9mm shell casing, only sold at store xyz in BR, then check video from those purchases and see if you can match a face and go from there. These scum didn’t buy it online. Likely bought in cash. Likely cheapest ammo available.

You should see where she was killed. It needs to be firebombed. It's not just black people.

It’s only getting solved if we blow the story up and have a big enough reward. 10 to 1 it was more than 1 person. If that’s the case the non shooter is going to squeal.

Or this piece of shite went right to his buddies house to hide the weapon and that person is going to talk.

But it’s going to take a big reward. I’m ready to put my money where my mouth is.

It’s hard enough to swallow the fact that even if caught he’s just going to jail instead of being gutted. Imagine this piece of shite getting away with it.

It would be a needle in a haystack type of search. They might have purchased that ammo 2 years ago and there are 50+ places around here that sell it. There's no legal record of the transaction so you'd be hoping for old video footage of 10s of thousands of transactions.

Yeah that's a dead end. Not sure how you could prove anything from that. It would be circumstantial at best even if you did.
