And in the meantime, a family gets to wonder forever who murdered their daughter? Frick you you frickin chode. Go play your contrarian schtick somewhere else you loser.

What do you think BRPD should do? They can't invent evidence. Even if they could, fabricated evidence would likely lead to the wrong suspect.

Belief is that it was a juvenile and they just didn't have enough evidence to charge. But the person who said that said culprit is in jail or dead is likely right.
OH! Well shite - I didn't think about that.
Ok. Case closed then. Let's all move on. Hey Rice Family: He's probably dead. It's time to move on and get over it.

Tell us.
Nobody has come forward as a witness.
Let me guess, you think BRPD should beat up some brothas until they talk? Ok, but we shut down the Brave Cave where they used to do that, remember?
Nobody is talking. No cameras. No motive. No witnesses. So HOW would YOU solve this?
Exactly. Sometimes there is just no evidence, or not nearly enough credible evidence.
Even if there was a fingerprint, say, but the perpetrator has no record. Until that perpetrator gets his fingerprints in the system, it won't hit. What can BRPD do to make that happen faster, exactly?

But the hard arse baws on here keep saying that BRPD needs to do their job and it's pathetic that they haven't found the killer.

Would it be a stretch for them to say with the evidence they have, that they have a suspect who has since been killed and can no longer be questioned? If that is the case?

Her blood is on their heads just as much as the murderer.

weird they don't have a ballistics match at this point

I would think $20,000 cash would get you that mfer’s head in a bucket

Well with the rampant theft of firearms, you're in the same boat there as the fingerprint. Until the gun was used in another crime, they'd never have the match, and that doesn't mean the person who used the gun that later time was this shooter, either.
I'd assume since this story broke out and became a major regional story, that gun was in a body of water somewhere within the week.

It's either that, or they're completely inept and fricked all of this up from the beginning to end. And now they'd prefer we just don't bring it up anymore.
One of these is the best reality and the other is the most likely.

I don’t think there is any question we all want it solved and the perps to burn in hell. But if I remember the facts right, it seems impossible to solve without someone coming forward.
-Late at night
-Perps on foot with dark clothes and hoodies
-If there are cameras they are prob not high quality enough to get any faces
- they didn’t touch her car, only shot into it so no finger prints
I don’t know what the hell they really have to go on in a case like that.
Maybe one day they can match the bullets to a gun they find. A huge reward would have maybe shaken the tree enough for someone to talk.
I feel for the family. Really sad story. Baton Rouge needs walls.

Don't change the argument now. You made the argument that "hey ya know what, if he's dead anyway, what's the point in trying to get closure for the family of a murdered child?" Stick to the argument that you made you frickin prick.

The first part was my response, the second part was simply a descriptive claim. I'm claiming that you are an insufferably contrarian douchebag and I stand on that.

I wonder if BRPD has heard people talking on the street about who did it, but that person is dead and they'll never prove it.

From a BRPD detectives mouth. The killer of this young lady has since been killed. At the time of the murder they were told by a previous chief not to put any extra effort into solving this murder she's no more special than any other victim in BR. Dude was a racist piece of garbage and I'm sorry this family was robbed of seeing justice because of that former POS chief

In a perfect world, the pressure should still be at it's zenith. People mad. People blaming the cops for not solving it.
First off, you need a new team on it. Whomever is running it now is obviously not good enough to solve it.
You take every confidential informant you have and you tell them that the stress to solve is high. You tell them that we must make an arrest on this one and it's never going away. Then you increase patrols there. You put more cops in the ghetto than you've ever had before. You show with force that you're going to break the backs of everything there until people start snitching. Do you think it's possible someone did this, and told nobody? Seriously? One of the highest profile murders in the last decade and nobody in Brookstown or Scotlandville is fricking talking about it?
Maybe you use prison intelligence. Somebody in the can knows something. Let it be known that this is still a hot button issue and they're looking for anything and everything they can get to name a suspect. Who heard anything? Come forward. Information is rewarded.
There's ways. But what it looks like to me - and to everyone - is that BRPD doesn't know how to solve this. It looks like to me that they showed up afterwards, took pictures and logged bullet casings, processed everything out there and then said "Did anybody see anything?" Then they went around local businesses and looked at the footage and said "Well there's nothing here. Again - did anybody see anything? No? Well obviously this is a cold case."
Let's get some updates out. Let's get more info out. I'd like nothing better than to think they're top fricking notch and it's a department you can't frick with. Show me. Let's have a press conference. If someone is dead and that may have been the killer, then tell us.

Sounds like typical rumor BS with no proof to backup the claim. I'm sure the detective knew this first hand and I'm sure the detective told you this exact thing first hand too.
