I've flown it several times without incident, but the most concerning aspects of this story is the age if their fleet and the safety culture of the airline as a whole. The pilots who work for them are subtly discouraged from reporting issues and concerns and are reprimanded for evacuating when showing concern for passenger safety. That sounds like disaster waiting to happen. I won't fly with them anymore.

I suppose if Allegiant Airlines was a sponsor of 60 Minutes, this show would not have been aired.

Flew them in March.
We were delayed but delays happen all the time.
We had no problems at all. And the flight attendants were pretty hot.
Short skirts and black leather boots.
Worth it.

it may also be the most dangerous.
any commercial airlines that have had a crash killing passengers should be more dangerous right?

I have an Allegiant flight next week. I didn't need this.

That statement is based on the number of engine or critical failures relative to their small fleet size. Other major carriers fly more with larger fleet and have much lower incidences of failures. The law of averages still applies

I will say their prices are outlandishly cheap. Risk vs reward...

if you invest a little time and shop around you'll find comparable rates on the legit carriers

I've flown Allegiant several times. Never had an issue. They are no frills that is for sure, but my experiences have been normal. But had I had a bad experience, I wouldn't be here to tell you about it, now would I?

Aren't most commercial planes from the 80s?
