At least she didn't pull his pants down and whip his bare arse like my parents did.

My grandaddy had a big peach tree near the front porch. He'd give my brothers and me his pocket knife and make us go cut our own switches.

More so that, she is going to regret this when she has no relationship with her son when he is older. She took it well beyond simple punishment when she yanked him around by the hair.

Agreed. I got many whooping with a belt in my childhood. Got yelled and cussed at in my childhood. The cussing was rare, but Dad let em fly a couple times (and it was deserved). However, the yelling and whooping never happened at the same time like this.

Most of the time when I got in trouble it went along the lines of this:
- I get caught doing wrong.
- Mom or Dad tells me ive been caught and would yell at me in proportion to the offense.
-I would be sent to my room.
- Some time would go by to let the emotions level out.
- Dad (mostly. Sometimes Mom got me) would calmly walk in my room and reiterate what I did wrong and explain why it was wrong and let me know they expect better from me in the future.
- I would take my licks and then wait to see if there was any more punishment to come such as extra chores or being grounded.
- Move on with life.

yeah, that's what makes it different for me...

spanking with the belt, ok, i get it... pulling him up by the hair, and cursing like she was, where there's a clear hatred tone to her voice, then slapping him in the face after the spankings, yeah, i'd punch that bitch in the face if i'm the dad...

and for that fact, the dad is a cuck if he allows shite like this in his house... i love my wife, dearly, and thankfully, i never have to worry about something like this happening, b/c she ain't like that at all, but if she ever did do anything that came close to the level of abject hatred that this woman is displaying, i'm not sure i'd be able to contain myself trying to protect my kids, even if she is my wife...

That shite was the norm for most kids in the 80s and early 90s. Maybe not 25 licks but a good arse whoppin is what alit of these kids need today. Downvote or say what you will but its 100% true

Yeah being grabbed by your hair and cursed at by an enraged parent wasn’t the norm you retard.

Yeah I never understood the the laws on this. If I hit another adult on the arse with a belt, paddle, limb, etc I'll be charged with assault and battery. But if I do the same to a much weaker child, it's no problem.

Quotes from the Bible are used as justification, just as they were (and still are) used as justification for many other things that some of us find abhorent.

So, by your logic, your parents should have been thrown in prison.

Her little temper tantrum was all sound and no fury. The kid is taller than her. And no telling what sort of a little badass he is based on his mom.

As usual, you couldn't be more wrong. Are you stupid on purpose?

Spanking a child with a belt is not abuse. Beating a child 25-30 times almost nonstop (and we all know it was more than just that because we only saw a short clip of it), screaming and cussing at a kid in his face, and moving him all over the place by his fricking hair (including picking him up off the ground), and I think even maybe slapping him in the face (based on the sound) is abuse.

And I'm not saying it was the worst thing possible...of course it could've been worse and some kids do get worse. But that was over the line of discipline IMO.

What is it Cocomo Antionette?

Jesus, even your attempts at jokes and sarcasm are fricking retarded. Go figure.

And look, you can disagree. That's fine. I'm just glad I'm not one of your kids.

No kidding, I got worse every day for weeks when I was in the 3rd grade.

Teacher thought I was mocking her because I couldn’t see what she wrote on the blackboard and when she told me to go up till I could see it. Of course I have to go right up to it, so I got beat at school, then when I got home.

Went on till one of my sisters did an eye test and found I really couldn’t see past a couple feet without it being really blurry. Eye doc said to my mother and I quote exactly “this kid’s blind, how long has he been complaining he couldn’t see?”

You contradict yourself in the same post.

quote:

Spanking a child with a belt is not abuse.

Let me come smack you. Is that assault? Of course you'll argue it is. Rightly so.

But if I smack a child, it's not? Do you have any children of your own? If I came and smacked one of them, what would that be?

How many times do I get to smack your kid before it crosses this magical line from "fine because Cocomo does it" to "abuse"?

That's still assault. Just more of it.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'm just glad I'm not one of your kids.

I'm also glad you aren't one of my kids. I don't beat my kids. After I reached a certain age I realized that it sends entirely the wrong message and reinforces bad behavior and continues it.

But if you were my kid...I'd probably make an exception.

Spare the rod - sure, but no. This is way over the line. She was literally taking out her frustration on him which shows she has no control. Just keeps lashing until she feels better. Even the slavemaster with the whip had a finite number assigned to the punishment.

Throw this maniac bitch in jail and work on repairing the damage. The brother is a hero and should be lauded as such.
