I'm not gonna argue a couple inches as if it makes a difference. He looks to be cowering in the shot you are talking. Irrelevant, he's a teenager, she's clearly a psycho. But that's not some sort of hardcore beating (though not for lack of trying). I don't think anyone is defending her, more mocking those that are wringing their hands that that was the worst smack down in history.
And then trying to call everyone liars that said they didn't get worse in their youth.

Wow, that makes me sad for that child.

Without knowing the backstory, one can assume he was a typical lazy arse teenager (or preteen -how old is the kid?) and surely deserved some type of consequence.

That- was overboard. Her anger took control and the beating she gave that child only served to feed her own monster rather than to help shape the child into a more responsible young adult.

How heartbreaking for this child- and thank gosh for the courage of the brother to record it and tell someone!

Nicole Staples was released from Metro Jail Wednesday evening and captured on video bolting straight onto a golf cart after posting a $7,500 bond.

Yeah. It also should be noted the older brother (the woman’s own son) who’d actually experience this woman’s abuse his entire childhood is the one who turned her in. So clearly the 24 year old man who actually lived through it didn’t believe it would ever get better for the kid or made him a better man because of it. I think that should be taken into account as well.

I'm not even arguing that physical discipline never has its place. But there's very much a "it's wrong except when me/mine do it our way." Vibe that goes on in these threads.

I mean you could easily argue that one open hand slap by a man to the face would do more actual damage than a woman popping a belt over the pants 20 times.
