How long and at what temp would you cook a 16 oz ribeye to medium rare?

I do it as high as it will go and then do it for 5-7 minutes per side and cook to temp. They come out surprisingly good.

I just dug an old microwave out of the warehouse to put in the basement just to melt butter for the outdoor kitchen. I have never even seen an air fryer. Would that have been a better option?

I wish I had the inverter capacity to put one in my truck, all I can really run is a microwave and it's meh.

My wife after I served her some two-day old brisket, "How did you warm the smoked brisket so that it stays so flavorful? Every time I use the microwave it tastes like it was oven baked instead of smoked."

Me, “I set the cooking time for longer and set the power to Power 2 instead of full blast. It won't overcook the brisket that way. It just gently brings it up to the temp I want."

Her, "I just don't have the patience for that."

Me, "smh"

I have a theory the microwave oven contributed to women's lib and the downfall of the American household. We shouldn't have given women extra time of their hands.

Nice theory but the 19th Amendment had already waxed our collective asses 20 years before.

I’m so glad my kids were born in the age of air fryers.

“What do y’all want?”

“CHICKEN NUGGETS”

….

5 minutes later “ here’s your crispy chicken nuggets, daddy loves you ya little bastards”

I take it you weren't alive when microwaves started to become mainstream (not talking about Radaranges but late 70's early 80's "cheaper ones). Most people have lived with microwaves for all their life or 35-40 years if they are older. Trust me there was the same confusion about microwaves. I agree they are nothing but a small convection oven but both times and temps are different from the range/wall ovens that are convection.

Why would I want to reheat pizza? It’s better cold if it’s leftovers.

Better hot when initially served. I’ll take a cold slice of pizza for breakfast any day.
