Taco Bell has already done this and it’s way better than having some mush-mouthed retard who you can’t understand and won’t speak loudly into the mic

So I don't have to talk to someone whose attitude you can hear in their voice and then worry whether or not they got your order right because they seemed distracted when taking your order?

Does anyone know of a McDonalds that is mostly kids in school working at it? That's how it used to be when I was in school. If you went there after school or on weekends it was all people in school, mostly high school students.

I don't go to McDonalds must at all, but over the past... 6-8 years? Every time I have gone it seems like its mostly middle aged women working there..

You and I both know this will only improve and become far better than a human.

Can we get this at a Popeyes please?

Was waiting on that comment..

Question is, will the Popeye's AI tell you to pull around for the spicy?

I seriously doubt it. It strokes out when I tell it my name for a mobile order and a real person has to get on to confirm my name.

It's also just disgusting and insulting in principle to be forced to interact with AI. Can't wait until this bullshite fad dies.

Brian also hinted at how the company is looking to create a “generative AI virtual manager” that will take on administrative tasks to ease the burden on store managers.

Thats corporate speak for eliminate the higher salaried manager and increase corporate profits.

If you can eliminate human employees all together, you may improve the customer experience. I'd imagine the last two or three remaining human employees will not be very friendly.

Employees should ask for $50 per hour now...

I could see the one or two remaining employees that are required to run a store making that.

Well it's not going to die. How could you believe that it's a "fad"? Do you think Amazon's Alexa is going to swap out AI voice to connect to real live human operators speaking with everyone? I think you have a problem with reality. You think what "Harry Caray" wants is how things will be. Dumb and arrogant.

I'm not saying AI will die entirely, there are certainly good and practical uses for it. I'm not sure AI drive thrus and nonconsensual nudes are the best application and hopefully a fad that will die.

You think they have table service at McDonald's?

When you place your order at the counter, they ask if it is for dine in or carry out. If you tell them you were eating there, they give you a little table tent with the number on it and tell you to go sit down, they bring you your food on a tray.

If you get your stuff to go, they put in a brown paper bag and you wait for it near the counter.

There is a Checkers by my house that has an AI take your order at the drive-thru. Surprisingly, it works pretty well. It hasn't messed up my order a single time.

Are you seriously mentally ill? In a thread about drive thrus and you're virtue signaling about "nonconsensual nudes"? I think if you asked any normal thinking person what their 'Top 100' concerns with AI were - you wouldn't get this answer.

But employees will still be able to spit in food no? Or will that go to AI too?

If the first bite of your burger has a faint sense of WD40, then it's most likely AI doing the spitting.
