And equally rife with busloads (literally) of sheeple that vote however their community leaders like Cleo Fields and Gravy Chambers tell them to vote and/or simply based on skin color. Of course there were also a high percentage of voters in the last election that voted for the candidate named Edwards, bc they either thought it was Edwin or Edwin's son. Very well informed crew there.
Preemptive strike-I voted for Kip and am ready to vote for him again today, so spare the racist comments. It's about the best for the spot they are running for and their qualifications, not skin color. I'd take a green skinned Governor over the turtle any day.

1.) He runs a good and disciplined campaign that doesn't take anything for granted and makes sure JBE doesn't sneak into the runoff uncontested.

3.) JBE couldn't hide from his liberal as shite voting record in the statehouse and a good marketing strategy that made sure he was tied to the hip with Obama and Hillary.
Vitte didn't get even one of these to go his way and it was truly a perfect storm that enabled JBE to win.
Whoever the GOP front runner is, regardless of who it is will get at least one of those and likely two.
JBE has an even bigger uphill to climb for reelection than he did after hiding in the background for damn near the entire 2015 campaign.

Kennedy running for Governor would keep Landry out of the race IMO. He is less risk adverse after he ran against Boustany.
Also it’s a win-win if Kennedy runs and he runs for re-election.
