As stated elsewhere in the thread, not true, Jeff.

You must have never dealt with them or their staff, because they all expected to be addressed that way. Just like Bob Odom had to be called "The Commissioner".
So we should refer to him as "The General "? GTFO with that bullshite. Unless, of course, we are talking low car insurance rates.

It's stupid, no doubt, but did not start w/,Landry.

Do you call him General all the time or only when he's in uniform?

Louisiana is rife with uneducated voters that want the ‘Christian Right’ to tell them what to do.
Why are you shitting on those same uneducated christian voters that elected your hero JBE as Governor by comfortable margins?
You should be grateful to them and keep your mouth shut about them if you want JBE reelected in 2019.

When he was a sheriff's deputy, they found a pile of cocaine hidden under his house. He blamed in on his LE partner. So he was either lying and corrupt or incredibly stupid.
As a private lawyer, one of his corporate clients sued him for like $1.5 million dollars in legal fees he took that he didn't earn. He ended up having to give it back. I'd say that's corrupt.
This douche should never hold any elected office, much less governor. He'd be worse than Jindal and Vitter combined.

God help you people if Landry beats JBE and you're wishing Vitter had won instead.
It'll be kind of like liberals regretting all that shite they slung at Romney after Trump won.

I'm not saying anyone "should" call him general or anything else. I'm just saying that he's not the first AG whose department and staff uses that pompous terminology, and that many outsiders have used that title when referring to him and some of his predecessors as well.
I don't think I could make myself say it, just like I'd have a hard time using the ridiculous term "honorable" if I were addressing a letter to any elected official.

If Landry allows himself to be referred to as a "General" he's a typical Landry.
The General

The General
