It's like General Counsel at a company. They don't get referred to as General, instead that is a descriptor for Counsel.

All attorneys general are referred to as "general". Dunce.

Not in Texas - AG Paxton

Not in Georgia

Not in North Carolina

Not in Alabama

I would be surprised if you could find one other Attorney General who refers to themselves as "General". It is stupid. They are either "Attorney General so & so" or more commonly "AG so & so", not General So & So. That's for military.

In November, nine days after a hotly contested primary for Louisiana attorney general, challenger Jeff Landry secured the coveted endorsement of the third-place finisher in the race, Geri Broussard Baloney, for the runoff.

It was a coup for Landry, a Republican from the GOP’s tea party wing. Baloney, a black Democrat, had hauled in 18 percent of the vote, more than the No. 4 and 5 finishers combined. If her supporters all voted for Landry, who took 33 percent, it would be enough to put him over the top and dethrone the incumbent, Buddy Caldwell, a fellow Republican who took 35 percent of the primary vote. As it happens, that’s how it went down; Landry won going away.

And a couple of months after taking office, Landry hired Baloney’s daughter, Quendi, looking past her criminal record in doing so and giving her a position in the office’s fraud section at a salary of $53,000 a year.

Ironically, Quendi Baloney had been charged with 11 felony counts of credit card fraud and theft in 1999. She wound up pleading guilty to three of them, according to Henrico County, Virginia, court records.

So 20 yrs ago a kid made terrible choices? Oh the horror.

I wonder why AA uses ex alcoholics to counsel current individuals with problems?

Or I wonder why our defense dept uses ex convicted hackers to help them with our hacking defense...wierd huh?

I'm a lot more concerned about him hiring the daughter of an opponent who endorsed him, than i am about a mistake 20 years ago.

You must have never dealt with them or their staff, because they all expected to be addressed that way

I have no doubt that his staff believes he wants to be called General. It's still weird as crap.

Remember this is the same clown who made faces and signs at a state of the union. He ain't exactly class. But I'm sure a lot of this board actually thinks that's a good thing for him.

Would you hire a convicted embezzler to manage your money? Or a child molester to babysit your kids?

Or is it only acceptable if they are the child of a political opponent who drops out of the race and throws you their support?

If that bothers you then you should really avoid politics because that's standard operating procedure.

I could be wrong but I think the daughter also caught fraud charges at some point before he assigned her to work in fraud? Or I could be mixing this up with something else
