...do you leave your vehicle in front of the gas pump while you go inside? Or do you move your vehicle to a parking spot in front of the store?

Shiiiiiiit, I park at the pump just so I can go inside. I don't even pump gas.

Come at me.

If the place is empty I leave it at the pump, but if it's busy I'll move it after pumping gas because I'm not an inconsiderate a-hole

Guilty of this.

Gas Stations can be nightmares to get out of at peak hours.

99% of the time unless the place is dead and it doesn't matter.....busy time I can't move quick enough.

Spent ten minutes Sunday waiting on some frick stick to buy a Big Gulp and bag of chips because he parked in the end pump slot and it was the only one the U Haul would fit in. He pulled in two seconds before me, jumped out and went to get his fatty food. No gas. frick him. He did realize what happened as I stared him down all the way back to his car. I was ready to knuckle check at that point.

A person courteous enough to move his vehicle so that the next guy can pump with waiting for you to go in and pay while blocking the pump.

I only buy gas early on Thursday mornings at a station near my house. I roll in around 6 AM, gas up, and go inside to grab a couple of things. The place has a dozen or more pumps, and I can only remember a few times that I wasn't the only one getting gas that early.

If the gas station is busy at all it is the considerate thing to do to let the person waiting behind you use the pump while you aren't using it. Just basic trying not to be a total piece of shite a-hole behavior.

This. If the switch has been removed from the pump, I stick an empty water bottle in the handle.
