You need to post pics and stats man. Give us something to work with if you want some Vegas level odds.

If a lion can kill a buffalo, you know a brown bear can

I'm not sure the bear is equipped to stop the buffalo's one move, though. It's not really that sort of predator.

Completely different predatory skill sets.

No solitary lion is going to take on a Cape buffalo bull, bud.

It takes a pack of lions to take down a buff and it is usually a very long struggle. And the pack usually chooses a past prime buff.

I'm talking one on one, and prime to prime.

Brown bears regularly take down 1500 lb. male moose. Cape Buffalo would be a snap for one.

This. If they are in Costal Georgia it will make a huge difference

But one lion cannot kill a healthy buffalo

That grizz would take that buff down with one swipe, right?

The gold miners in the 1800s use to get all kinds of exotic animals bright in and would fight them against each other in a pit. Brian bear destroyed silverbacks, lions, tigers, polar bears and everything else they put it up against.

Now that was an enclosed space and it would depend on environment, but I'm general brown bear is the baddest animal in the planet. Would pick polar bear in the ice and snow though.

Surprisingly lions beat tigers much of the time.

The Cape buffalo bull would eventually put the bear on its back and then would proceed to rip the guts from the bear.
