And if so it will be because a white dude is getting rid of him. Jarvis will get 5,000 columns out of that if he can find another writing job. Losing a job as a newspaper writer really sucks because they are dying off and are so few options now.
Just hope the Advocate doesn't replace nola.com with their awful web site.

The times pic once had among the highest circulations in the country. Multiple pulitzer prizes.
And you're right. They stayed during Katrina and told us the version of the story that no one else could.

Truthfully, you can get more news here sometimes and some details you won't see on news sites. You have to sift through some vulgar comments at times, but I've read a lot of things on here first that were later reported from other sources.
