Most shooters (myself included) will use specific bullets for specific guns so I would bet he was using those Vanguards. Some guns like certain bullets better than others or it may be a personal preference.
So the benefits of the sub sonic 5.7 are the ease of control, quieter firing and smaller size of the frame, barrel and suppressor.
I would just stay with more common ammunition and avoid the suppressor.
I see his online comment about carrying this in a cross draw shoulder holster. Sort of the Dirty Harry style of holster.
If this guy was actually carrying this gun concealed rather than having it in his vehicle, that is high on the scale of gun geekdom.
I respect his dedication and guts.
It also looked like he may have been hit by the bad guy, so prayers for his wellbeing are needed.

As a Boise homeowner the only people I’ve met in the last 7+ years that have moved east from the west coast are extremely conservative. They’ve often come to Boise looking for a similar mindset. The left influence I meet most in Idaho comes from the east coast.
