I wonder if this involves a gunman tyring to see a dying relative. Probably not, but I've been expecting something of that nature.

I honestly had no idea that place was still open. I know they moved most offices and services to either Highland or Bossier. Thought old Schumpert was abandoned.

Ochsner-LSU moved Women's and Children's service lines there in late April. Also has Ortho and Neurosurg services as outpatient (don't think they are operating there yet) services. COVID pandemic pushed their timetable up for moving those service lines in order to free up more space at their King's Highway campus.

What the hell are you taking about? The old Schumpert was NOT a dump by any means. It was shuttered when Christus decided to focus solely on Highland & ER hospital in Bossier. I’m in a lot of active hospitals around the state now that are far worse than Schumpert.
