Billions of dollars spent on public education and we are moving in the wrong direction.

1. Federalized Public Education was the wrong direction.

2. The SAT and ACT are gatekeepers to higher education that exist to fleece a few more dollars from the public.

For everyone here that promotes blue collar trade school over college, shouldn’t neglecting the ACT be celebrated? It is a shift in mindset, after all, from valuing skills useful for academia.

That’s quite the leap in logic there

I graduated from a Catholic one for free. Over $150k scholarships earned from attending public school.

For today

When burgeoning US was educating itself in back woods of Kentucky, Kansas plains, and swamps of Louisiana, standardized and federalized made some sense.

Obvious solution is to spend even more money on Education.

We’ve been lowering entrance scores to college for a while now.

Too many parents these days would rather be the “cool parent” than the a-hole, strict parent who will bust some arse if the kid brings home a C, much less a D or F.

This spills over to the classroom where a lot of students are lazy, can’t handle strict teachers, can’t handle discipline, can’t handle being told no, and have a very short attention span.

All of this just so happens to coincide with the downturn we have seen in every major city in this country the last 5 years even going back to before covid and the saint floyd riots. Every city is dealing with the same problems in education no matter who is running the state or city. More is spent on inner city youth per capita one education and yet scores continue to decline now why is that?

Perhaps its because the majority of the black community (who make up a large proportion of nearly every major city) do not give a damn about education and their culture instead idolizes criminality and hustling as opposed to studying hard to bettering yourself. They also do not care about a nuclear two parent family which countless studies have shown is crucial to a child developing into a worthwhile adult instead of repeating the vicious single parent cycle.

But another thing that is completely overlooked is the surge in illegal immigration this country has seen. There are millions of people pouring across our border every year and they bring with them kids whos ages we dont know, who come from all sorts of different countries with different levels of education. These people mostly come to these big sanctuary cities in each state and their kids are put into these same failing classrooms when they do not speak any english, have no concept of a western education and have no real way to figure out how much of an education they have actually received.

Now you bundle these factors together with the poor whites who either are unable to or dont give enough of a shite about their kids education and you get this hellish education melting pot separated along racial lines that is taking place in every city across the country. I have talked to COUNTLESS people in my age group (late 20's, early 30's) who sought to go out and make a difference in kids lives like a teacher once made in theirs only to have that desire beaten out of them dealing with thugs all day and half of their class not speaking any english. This is happening in every city around the country and instead of doing the right thing like stopping this absurd immigration and deporting these kids and their parents combined with a change in culture among inner city blacks and poorer whites, absolutely NOTHING will change. Democrats will insist that we should keep throwing more money at the problem to make things better but as my girlfriend will tell you another thousand dollar ipad or pointless study by the school board will not fix the societal disfunction unraveling in every major city right now.

There are scholarships for just being female.

None exist for being male.

Just saying your gender gave you the leg up on scholarships. Now if you are a black female, even better.

We make people citizens that can’t read or write in English.

Millions of people come here that may not even have high level of education in their native language.

So I think it’s a combination of things. Mostly with parenting.

How? The skills, knowledge, and information needed as an individual in Kentucky, Kansas, and Louisiana were presumably much different than the skills, knowledge, and information needed in metro areas like New York and Boston.

Poor schools, test outcomes, and crime are just symptoms.

The cause is government subsidizing failure - e.g. welfare and cash for babies. Destruction of the family creates shitty kids that become shittier parents

The exciting part is that it’s becoming easier to get into schools because of this

I’ll say this again : all public schools should be ended. No more. Finished. Done. It was a nice experiment but it is time to end it. It is a fail experiment. It is a proven fact that students in private schools preform better because their parents are invested in their education. We are allowing the government to steal our money to fund these failing ‘schools’. Defund Public Education.

Lol.
