If my math is right IF (and that's a big assumption) say you have 20 people over.

Let's say all 20 get infected, all healthy, all get sick enough to go to the hospital ( big leap) , then 6% of the 20 could die, then there's roughly a chance one healthy one will.

Wrong. You just used a 6% mortality rate for healthy people

That leap is more than the grand canyon.

Even then, 6% of the 6% of the 20 hospitalized would be 'healthy'

Something like .072 of the 20 healthy people may die.

And that is on the idea that all 20 people somehow get sick enough to go to the hospital.

I'm sure the other perfectly healthy 6% are comforted in their graves knowing that..

6,000 people when this is all over with? THAT’s worth shutting down the economy? I’m not arguing that the lockdowns weren’t necessary, but 6,000 people is not much in a country of 350 million.

What are you talking about 6,000 people?

When will it be safe to open things back up? all these measures weren’t meant to stop covid, just to slow it so healthcare could gear up. Is healthcare not ready yet? Do we keep doing this till there is a vaccine? That could be a year. Without a vaccine, there will be another round, can’t stop that. We can’t stay locked down, the economy is already in peril. The government can’t just keep printing money for bailouts. So when? What factors decide, “we are ready to open up”?

Webster's Dictionary Company will be putting in a lot of extra hours this year adding all these new words to their dictionary.

I would personally beat grandma to death with a hammer if it prevented the financial catastrophe we've heaped upon ourselves.

Old people are more susceptible to health complications. Shocker.

That really means nothing as prolly 100% of all boomers and gen-xers have co-morbidities.

Age underlying is BS. Everyone has an underlying somewhere whether they know it or not.

The thinking is that even if healthy, you become a vector of disease spreading it to others.

How many businesses would actually have enough people to function if only those with no comorbidities showed up?

This real question is, what percentage of those with preexisting conditions become critical after contracting COVID=19?
