I think Coastal had already been doing a bunch of work for SpaceX for their TX facility. Now they’ll get the stuff in their own backyard.

Good point. That’s another positive benefit of this. If the state and parishes would get their stuff together we wouldn’t need charters.

This is a good sign, especially for all those machine shops that a took a hit with the O&G decline the last decade.
From what I understand, manufacturing workers who do aerospace work have to have a lot more education and certifications. Knowing how to work with aviation sheet metal is an example.So unless those local manufacturers invest in their workers or SLCC seriously steps up their game, they will lose a lot of that work to companies based in other areas.

Probably a private equity group fitting the bill for expansion. A few success stories and more will come.
