Did he fall off the rope? We used to have to climb a 30 feet high rope in Jr high.

could be anything, really. When I was in Jr. high, they had the bleachers stretched out. Some kind of way, this dude jumped off and grabbed the rim of the basketball goal, legs swung up, and he fell on his head.

Could be anything from trauma from an accident to something caused by an un-diagnosed medical condition. Honestly gut-wrenching, I can't even fathom what getting that call is like and hope I never find out.

They did day "accident " right? Doesn't sound like a health related issue.

True, you just never know when dealing with media. I'll forego speculation and perhaps someone here will have firsthand knowledge of the situation.

I have fears about my kids being at school sometimes because of the screwballs (gov't ops ) but for the most part...I have a 99.9% belief that they will step off of that bus in the afternoon.

Every afternoon.

God bless the parents.

I don't think there was an accident. The comments on the circumstances sound more like an undiagnosed underlying medical condition or something sudden.

My sister had a kid in her class die in 5th grade because of type 1 diabetes that went undiagnosed. It was really, really sad.
