Solid vehicles. Got my wife the prestige package, $2k under MSRP early 2021. I had to drive 300 miles to pick it up

I got a good deal on my new F150 in February 2021. Around 6 months later, it was worth more than I bought it for. No way I would but anything right now.

I'll keep driving my 2010 Tundra.

And, it has appreciated over the last year.

Just purchased an F150 Raptor at a small town dealer for MSRP last month. In Dallas they are selling the same truck for $25k over sticker. I’m strongly considering flipping it

I have not understand at all why people are still buying vehicles.

Because I can sell my 10 year old car with 130k miles for a ridiculously high price. And I need a reliable car since I live in the middle of nowhere with no Uber, taxis, or repair shops. And I'm waiting 4 months for a factory order so at least it's not above MSRP.

Anyone who pays more than sticker price for a car is just too lazy to negotiate. I bought my wife a Honda Pilot in June and sat in the dealership negotiating with the sales lady at her desk for 9 hours. I wasn’t leaving there until I got the price I wanted. In the end, I got $10,000 off sticker and $6,000 trade in. You just have to accept the fact that it will be an all day event for yourself and get it done.

That said, it’s exhausting and looks like I’ll be driving my used 7 year old car for years. I work from home and don’t need anything nice or new.

Placed an order a week ago $7K under MSRP for an F150. It’s starting to turn around. I waited quite a while.

A lot more cars are bought online, haggling is a lost art, and the supply chain has fricked up prices so bad. Not a surprise.

I just put $1400 into my 08 Ford fx2 and about to put another $1000 to round out my project. She'll put another 200k before I get ride of it. There is NO way I'm paying what they are asking for new ford's

Yep, bought two new cars last summer. Got money off both and higher trade ins. You just have to invest the time.

Bought my Audi at the beginning of the Covid lockdowns and got $10k off sticker. Bought my Sierra in April of 2021 and had to go to Houston to find a dealer that would honor GM Supplier pricing and maaged t negotiate a little there too.

Could sell both cars for way more than I paid now but wouldn't be able to replace them with anything at these prices.

A friend just tried to buy a new Suburban and the dealer said to expect the shortage to last late into 2023.
