I had an experience very similar to this on Adak Island out on the Aleutian chain. Tons of rats, and they're hell for the local ecosystem.
We were having bad weather and no Caribou around, so we took the .22 with subsonic LR rounds and borrowed a locals' thermal night vision scope and went and fricked em up. Was a lot of fun. The Ptarmigan hunting was especially good too.
This guy should go and get himself a couple of barn cats though. Cheaper than ammo, albeit less fun.

Probably a PCP air rifle.

Weihrauch HW100 22 caliber PCP was listed in the replies on X.

Went to Airguns of Arizona to check them out. They ain't cheap. Wish I had one.

Below is a airgun nerd doing a review on one.

it sounded like he was in a hog pen…if so, there won’t be a single dead rat left by morning.

If you like videos like this, I recommend you check out Edgunleshy on YouTube. He takes out squirrels, chipmunks, opossum, and raccoons with various caliber state of the art air rifles.

I was hoping this was one of those rat terrier videos. Those dogs are killing machines

One of those would probably die of sensory overload in that place. That was a shitload of rats.

This is what happens when all the effective rat poisons are taken off the market.
I’ve resorted to feeding feral cats to keep them in the barns.

that one shows the rifle and scope and also addresses the issue of damage to the structures behind him. He dials the pressure down on the rifle to far below subsonic so he doesn’t punch holes in the roof and walls of the shed. He’s humanely dispatching the rats and this is much safer than poison

Those PCP rifles are badass. Not that I need another firearm but I want one.

$4k PCP Air Rifle and a $10k scope.

Marrone. Far cry from the lever action Daisy's of our youth.

We used to shoot rats like this in our barns growing up with a pellet gun and flashlight. I’ve got a new 10/22 that I’m going to set my thermal up on to shoot field rats around the shop.

I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters.

No doubt a silenced, compressed air pellet rifle, possibly .22 cal. We have an FX Impact M4 that is supremely accurate to 100 yards. Can’t miss really….

Yeah. When you see his setup and he goes over the cost it almost takes the fun out of it. Almost!

I get no pleasure from videos of people killing dumb animals. Even pests.

Do you have any videos of ICE or police shooting liberals? Those are better than girl on girl porn.
