Shenandoah - Sunday In The South
Warning for you Prog pieces of shite! You will HATE every second of this video.
For all the Baws that were brought up like myself, enjoy being taken back to a better time.

A ragged rebel flag flies high above it all…

This is great. The video is amazing. Reminds me of Thomasville.

Reminds me of the good ol Southern Sundays when we would put K&B bags over our shoulders and jump off the house like paratroopers. When my older brother put floaties on my ankles and told me I could walk on water like Jesus across the pool and almost drowning. Being at Sunday mass and having to tuck my boner under my belt for an hour. Sunday tradition of climbing through the window at the elementary school and eating the snacks and ice cream out of the teachers lounge
ETA: and how could I forget that after Sunday school learning how homos are the devil we’d head out back and play Smear The Queer with the heathen neighborhood kids

Hell yeah. Marty playing that Takamine. I remember back in the day that was the acoustic to have so I bought one. Still have it hanging on the wall.

Not my cup of tea but upvote. Was 19 when this came and miss those days.

Still smell the powder burning and they probably always will
My favorite lyric of the song

Reminds me of Christmas eve when my girl brought me to her sis in laws house and I slept til noon... she brought me breakfast in bed and I railed her and wiped my junk on the curtains.
Then I played on my phone while her bro in law moped around and went outside to throw horseshoes or some other redneck activity...

Were there any colored people back then?

Play every Sunday morning when I’m driving to the store to get something to cook

None of that was anything close to my Sundays growing up in the south, but then I wasn’t raised in the Southern Baptist church.
