Johnson also heard music in hell, including Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”—traditionally upbeat tunes. Only this time, demons were singing the songs to “torture” people.

That’s just the first day. You get used to it after a while. Pet the doggy and sing along.

All this article tells me is that the brain is still doing amazing things, even when people are “dead.”

Sort of reminds me of sleep Paralysis. Vivid dreams that you can’t move in but seem incredibly real.

The brain is an incredible organ.

This seems believable.

I can tell this is a fabrication because demons won’t control hell. They will be punished and in subjection just like everyone else there.

So out of this massive universe we inhabit, hell just so happens to be geared exclusively to humans and even include modern popular music?

It’s humorous to think even demons walk around singing “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. It’s such a catchy tune.

He doesn't believe in fairy tale nonsense like gods and devils and Jesus. What is he? He is intelligent.

Let’s say all that stuff isn’t real and I believe in it and you don’t. I still live a life with meaning where I believe in a higher power that gives me comfort through struggles and implores me to be a better person.

If I’m wrong, I still live a satisfying life, die lie you do and it’s over. If you’re wrong, well… that’s a whole different ballgame, isn’t it?

So he was transported to the French quarter. The singing wasn’t demons, just bad karaoke.

The priest may have experienced exactly this during his NDE but that doesn’t mean what he saw is “real”—just his experience. NDE’s involve the effects of psychoactives released in the brain and are similar to psychedelic drug trips in a lot of ways
