Unbeknownst to the halfwit, the punishment for the civil offense of illegal entry into the US is deportation.

so if ICE comes upon someone who is "unlawfully" in the US they should deport them or release them until they commit a crime?

Illegal entry is a crime and should come with deportation.

Unlawful residence (eg expired visa) is a civil violation.

And what is the punishment for overstaying a visa by 180 days? What about 5 years?

Media trying to connect the dots that Jan 6 protestors are all criminals.

My takeaway is that the government fricked over so many people that they included a bunch of criminal-types by default.

You're barred from re-entry for 3 years, and then 10 years.

Not sure what any of this has to do with a Trump pardon being a child molester.

Narrator: Republican Governor Ron DeSantis led the charge to permit the death penalty for child predators. The at-issue criminal is located in Florida.

You should, but you won’t get a reply from that fig

They just come in, drop their stupid, pointless, snarky one liner, then dip out without ever engaging in a real conversation about whatever it was they said

So anyway, to close the loop on your digression, the day after your VISA expires, you are removable. From there it only gets worse. This is what the law says, not what Trump decided.

I assumed you were sufficiently battered about with regards to this.

Odd, considering none of your questions are ever in good faith.

So how is it handled? You leave them here illegally? Or deport? Do you detain then to see why their papers are not up to date?

Put him in jail. Being pardoned for Jan. 6 doesn't mean anything here.

Both are crimes, and both should be punished accordingly.

Yes, but to do this first you have to show your papers to the Anti-ICE folks at the road blockades.

They're making sure we don't live in a fascist state where you have to show papers to be in public.
