I hate he had to get hospitalized. Going to the ER is never a good feeling. But all things considered it sounds like he will pull through just fine.

This is one of the big fallacies about the virus.
If you followed Italy closely you know it’s not incredibly rare for young healthy people to get hit really hard by this thing and require ICU/hospitalization. It’s not as common as old people, but far from heard of. The difference is the young people ALMOST always recover from that point if they receive proper care. Older people and those with underlying conditions aren’t as fortunate

And how many’s people’s kids are being affected by this shutdown. How many working poor will struggle for the next year or two. Millions. 20-30k people will die and we’ll bankrupt millions more. What a joke this all is.

There is one study I read earlier this week that says this is an effective treatment. It is one study but it was a large sample. 90+ participants only 5 had to be hospitalize and only 1 died. One study does not make a conclusion, but this is a positive sign.
