Be very careful.
My FIL was contacted by a woman that matched up with him via a DNA test from a fling he had very close to when he married my recently deceased MIL. He threw this out there to my wife and her sister and insisted they meet their new half sister.
This did not go over well….and God knows how it would’ve gone down if my MIL was still alive.

--If the DNA is a match, see if you can build a relationship with the kid. You created this responsibility whether you meant to or not, time to own up to it. If the kid wants to build a relationship, at least give it a try.
