Well, without going into the merits of this specific issue, those two things you cite shouldn't be mutually exclusive, i.e. Just because you're supportive of economic development doesn't obligate one to support all development no matter what.

How does that math?

Probably counting on them being able to turn tables over a few times over the course of a day. You know...how successful restaurants tend to work.

Yup. Hard to believe but very much true.

Think Mazen wants this to be an event space too. If he could opaerate it similar to something like Houma’s House, I don’t see the big issue.

That’s not contradictory. Do you not believe in zoning, or what?

Some of the best food I’ve had has come from restaurants in the middle of neighborhoods.

If you are referencing "that money" as the money owned by the restaurant owner and his investor, OK. Mr. Richard is an LSU Law School graduate and went to public schools.

You better believe that the restaurant opposition had large concentrations of wealth over fifty years ago. The Pioneer Club was located on the top floor of what is now City Hall.

I delivered the American Press Newspaper from a bicycle and looked up every day at the dollar bill power from the bottom of the Pioneer Club tower. My address was flawed because it was north of Broad.
