that's the nicest house in Lake Charles? Thought there were a few OT ballers out that way.

That’s the nicest house in Lake Charles??

I’ve seen nicer houses in the Quad on any given Sunday afternoon

Absolutely not. I have an architect buddy that moved out there for work. There’s OLD OLD money out there and some of their projects are absolutely ridiculous. My stepdad remarried a lady from money out there after my mom passed and his BIL married into some of that old money and have rediculous shite out in the middle of nowhere.

It's 10000 square feet baw. Plus a dock. Only problem with it is the age. They might have some houses off Prien Lake but thats about it.

No. I went to school with some people with the last name Duhon. I have an uncommon, non cajun last name

One of them Duhon's used to take us eat at the City Club back in the day. We were in college with little money so it was a big treat.

Nice house. A little small for my tastes.

Didn't Joe Dumars own a place off Shell Beach drive that burned down?

A bunch of misinformed people on Lake Charles money

They have some beautiful neighborhoods and houses around town. Postcard worthy

Don't know if it was a Duhon but I had a friend of a friend and ended up at somebody's really nice dock off Shell Beach a couple of times engaging in parties involving illegal activities.

I remember a lot of nice houses going up at the end of country club road if you went straight instead of turning left to go to Big Lake.

Sounds right. Supposedly he laundered a shitt ton of money from the Racquet Club. I think there was a 6 month period where he and Snoop Dogg made national news for getting arrested in Lake Charles. But other than the laundering part I heard he's a nice guy

Bruh, there is a bunch of old money in LC. Something you’ll never know anything about working at the Houma offshore supply house

I guessing it was just really hard to maintain
The house has been for sale for years, but the maintenance costs for an old house like that are excessive, which is why it hasn't sold

Anyone who wants to buy a multi-million dollar home can do much better in a much finer location than to buy one that just wastes money on upkeep.

That's why Mazen made a move on it.

It'll never happen, but I'm glad Shell Beach Drive is being made to play the game against new money. Put up or shut up, bitches. Want lakefront development? You're on the clock.
