You do understand this isn’t going to be a warehouse, right?

Yes. A warehouse would be under $10M

Tech started offering a doctorate in Nanotechnology sometime in the 90s and built a Micromanufacturing Institute around the same time. The current CEO of Radiance is a Tech alum and likely very familiar with the research opportunities there.

I hope they can make this work. We need to prove this state can work for advanced manufacturing.

Not if it’s anything like Raytheon or Lockheed’s advanced stuff.

On the downside, defense is fairly low volume. So it won’t need that many employees or square feet.

didnt i read that once the meta campus is built they'll only need like 50 employees??

So what? Construction jobs are still jobs. And I would not be surprised if it was only 50 but data centers have an eco system of support services around them, too.

Those new residents will be encouraged to buy local in Ruston. We're keeping that money in Lincoln Parish. Good thing the remodeling of Temple Baptist is nearly finished. Our new 50000 square-foot Chase operations center is nearly completed too.

Who cares if it is only 50 jobs, it’s jobs in an advanced industry.

And the article said it would be 150 permanent jobs

Will create some jobs during the course of construction as well

Louisiana loves to shite on any sort of good news. These guys are all the people that will be melting 3 minutes into the Clemson game on Saturday.

Facebook comments by anti-Landry/Trump brigade are screaming to stop these projects from destroying the local community. LOL

I could see being against a datacenter but this isn't something that would destroy the local community
