One of my facebook friends posted this article and some people were actually agreeing with JJ Redick. What are the OT thoughts?

The one thing I question in life that's similar to 'flat earth' -- and I'm wrong on this, I know I'm wrong on this -- but I'm not entirely convinced that dinosaurs existed. I'm not. I've come across some weird websites in my google searches. For example, the word "dinosaur" didn't exist until like 1842. There was no word for dinosaur. Then, all of a sudden in the next 15-20 years after this British scientist comes up with this word dinosaur and describes it in a medical journal, people start finding fossils.

I'm thinking to myself, all right, humans, homo sapiens have been here since 10,000 BC, we've been roaming the earth, we've had multiple empires all over the world. North America, Central America, Asia, Europe, Africa, whatever. In all that time, we didn't find any fossils until 150 years ago? It makes you think!

I mean, duh. They would have surely walked off the edge of the flat earth if they did.

He is an idiot. Along with everyone that even remotely thinks that way.

How could dinosaurs have existed 100 million years ago when the earth is only 6000 years old?

Yes. Very similar to oil and gas.

I mean, he's an athlete. What else is new? He's not paid to think.
And dinosaurs aren't the only creatures they find fossils of.
I also find it hard to believe that JJ Redick is spending time researching the origin of the word "Dinosaur".

The words water and air didn't exist at one point either.

And this dumb frick went to Duke. Their fricking fossils were discovered and they were given the name "dinosaurs". Did he think cavemen came up with this name or something?

JJ has to be smart enough to know that the scientific journals were a bit different back in the day.
For instance, is this the skull of an elephant or a cyclops?
There are plenty of references to dragons in ancient writings.
