Confirmed. A Tesla pulled in front of my two fiddy, resulting in $20k in damage to my truck. The first time I got it back was about 10 weeks later. Yet, the engine kept throwing diesel codes, and I didn't fully regain possession until about four months in.

Screw dealers. They only get recall work from me. I had one of the biggest Ford dealers in Houston tell me that the entire back glass needed to be replaced to fix my beer can window, yet all it really needed was body tape to stick it back up there.

Dealers (at least Ford) also seem to refuse parts until you *drop off* your vehicle. I'd offered to pay for the part in advance just to get them to have it in stock before dropping it off, and they refused. WTF.

If there are top notch diesel techs out there, I have spots for 3 guys. Enough OT and best hourly wage in LA for you to make $115-125k per year. And I can’t find anyone. 3 weeks vacation, 401k immediately vested. 100% paid health insurance. 100% paid.

Telling everyone they should go to college was a gigantic screw up in our society.

I am not surprised of the backlog at Brian Harris.

That’s a major part of the problem, but people with a lack of work ethic to do much of any work is an issue as well.

Yea, big time.

Good techs will be making a quarter mil a year before too long if this keeps trending.

A friend of mine has a Ford. Brought it in for an issue. Was told it would be a week before it is looked at. He asked if he could take it home since he doesn’t have another car. They said if he did he’d forfeit his place in line.

Glad to know I’m not the only one. I had to wait 3 weeks to get my car just touched up and a few factory replacements covered under warranty. They didn’t have any loaners available but figured it would be a few days max. Well it took a week to get into the shop and then they had to order the parts so it was back in the lot waiting to go back in the shop. 3 weeks today and hadn’t heard an update in 4 days. No way it should be that way so I called and made a big deal about it saying it’s impacting my livelihood and ability to work.

Sure enough they got me a loaner this afternoon and it was LEGIT and as soon as they do they say they’ll hope to have my car ready by Saturday. Insane haha. I’m never scheduling an appointment again without a loaner lined up.

You got to give me that tip wink wink don’t you see my hand out, to move you up to a 71 car wait.

Seriously, lack of skilled techs everywhere and this time of year Ac issues.

Yeh, they’re just fricking awful. Their “service” dept at Audi is a fricking joke. Their Service managers have to just sit on their arse all damn day. Let’s just say communication isn’t their strong point.

Whoever is running those departments need to be fired yesterday.

Brian Harris use to be reliable from managers to techs but something has changed. I don’t think they care of their employees to retain them. So when they lose employees they cannot find anybody. It seems whoever is doing the budget cuts - doesn’t understand the importance of service techs. It seems like management is over their head.

It's all dealerships. They pay flat rate. I get it from their end, but it doesn't really work when the local shop down the road is paying hourly for the same you would make on a good day
