Seems like we’re heading for a shutdown part 2. Whether the populace abides by it is another thing.

The original issue was always around ventilator and hospital capacity. As long as those numbers stay under the curve who gives a frick if the new cases say 4 million?

The graph will never be skewed that far in favor of cases. The problem is the spreading from healthy young people to old people with bad immune systems.

So the total positive for the week was 7.6%, the goal for phase 2 was to sustain under 10% and you're ready to go back to Phase 1?
Also, the point of the shutdown was to keep the hospitals from being overburdened. Even with this past week being the highest positive cases since early April, we're still below the #s in the hospital since March 28th.

At this point everyone knows the risks with elderly, obese & sickly people.
The other side of the argument is there are a lot of healthy elderly people that are falling to depression due to isolation.

we will see what happens with Sweden. they revised their projections of herd immunity by August but i think they expect it before 2021
