Of course there’s going to be higher numbers of positive tests now that testing is readily available for anyone who wants to take one and asymptomatic people are being encouraged to get tested now. Do they release numbers on what percentage of positive tests were from people who had either no symptoms or very minor ones?
Deaths are down and the number of hospital beds and ventilators aren’t in danger of being overrun. Those are the only numbers that should matter when it comes to potential restrictions or shutdowns.

Well maybe where you are but I'm friends with an ER Doc at Tulane and he hasn't seen a Covid patient in weeks.

Hasn't been close. Admitted 2 older patients with the cover. One was an older diabetic overweight the other was an old nursing home patient who didn't look that bad.
But hey shut down the economy and let's close some more businesses that won't recover

This simply isn’t mentioned enough. It’s the crux of the so-called ‘spike’ we’re seeing in the south right not.
Cases will necessarily increase as things open up and more people are tested. It was the point of ‘flattening the curve’, but the goalposts have been moved so many times it’s hard to keep up anymore.

it was NOT COVID-19 related... more old age issues... but she was admitted into the hospital like 3 different times during that span... and each time she was tested for COVID
