my kids are so sheltered...

every time I talk to other parents about what their kids are obsessed with and they are all like "yeah my kids too!" and I'm just standing there not know what the hell they are talking about

so you're the only one in your family who wastes hours a day on a computer?

My 5 year old found this on some badly animated youtube video where he fights godzilla and some video game characters. I kind of glanced at it and didn't think much of it. Then he asked me to print a picture of siren head so they could build him with their legos. I googled it and WTF? DON'T WATCH THAT CRAP AGAIN!!!

There’s the issue right there. Cut out the Chinese spy program

Yeah, I had no idea because he downloaded TikTok on my wife's phone. She is completely out of the loop when it comes to social media so she let him do it. I let them know that TikTok wasn't kosher. Forget all the Chinese shite. I just don't think it is appropriate for a freaking 5year old. I've seen some of the shite on there. I cuss like a sailor, but not around my kids , and some of the TikTok videos made me blush.

What are you letting your kids watch / read on the internet?

The 10 year old came home from his friends house and mentioned it to my 6 year old girls. Trust me I don't let them watch all that shite but once was all it took. Thanks for your thoughtfulness...

i'm glad there are some actual parents in this thread vs the smug college-age kids who think they understand kids.

last year baldi was all the rage and now you can buy baldi at Target.

Went down the youtube rabbit hole on this. Found a couple cool videos using siren head.

LINK to short2

LINK to a pacman vs godzilla. The pacman I never knew.

From the wiki - siren head is just an urban legend created by the Canadian horror artist Trevor Henderson. Legend grew on it's own once popular youtubers start talking about.

This next generation of kids who are raised 100% within the social media/ pocket computer/on demand anything without a filter generation are going to be fascinating.

I don't know if it'll be a good fascinating or a terrifying fascinating, but they'll be extremely different than we are who we're raised before social media and an iPhone in every pocket

Wouldn't siren head be a tornado warning siren on a pole

My five year old is obsessed with war Legos, war Lego videos, army toys, blowing shite up, and "killing" the Germans in our back yard with sniper rifles made out of sticks.

Our six year old loves it too. I've never watched it, but she thinks it's the bees knees.

this is a good thing not a bad thing.

I did manage, using this method, to raise current millennials who are not glued to their phone and don't play video games. But they spend a lot of money on traveling and outdoor hobbies

Too bad old microwave towers aren't around anymore.

Take him to a tornado siren on testing day.
