R18 & R12 are both beautiful bikes.
I test rode an R18. Was really nice.
But, for the most part, BMW is not in competition with HD. The bulk of BMW bikes are a totally different type of bike.

I worked in Galveston for nearly a year after Hurricane Alicia in 1983/84 and there wouldn't have been 10 motorcycles together back then without someone getting shot. I think it was the Outlaws but there was a MC Gang in the area back then that liked to shoot one another and outsiders pretty regularly....

Typical Harley owners isn’t “Wild One” or “Rebel Without A Cause”. The average Harley rider is typically male, with an average age around 45-50 years old. Harley isn’t exactly cheap either. Can be very expensive. Bit of a joke for any well off person trying to reclaim their youth. Same with high end guitars

thanks a bunch for the video. For 5 years I used to go to the ROT rally in Austin. Great weekends. Wife's weekend pass based on drink beer, don't buy another bike, and no touching.
