500,000 participants at Galveston motor cycle rally .. no body shot

Son got back this evening from the motor cycle rally in Galveston and said a safe time was had by all 500,000. Bikes, beer and babes as far as the eye can see. They did have one Harley catch fire in the middle of the celebration but when you mount the gas tank directly above the engine that's always a possibility with motor cycles. Strangest thing, while m/c folks are known to have guns, not a shot was fired.
State police rides were BMW's, and the a/r racks looked cool. Officer said the BMW's were priced 5000 bucks cheaper than equivalent Harley's.

HD has jumped the shark with MSRP long ago. And honestly the maintenance is probably not much less that BMW

I’d be surprised if maintenance on a BMW costs more than a Harley. I don’t know what it costs now, but back when I could still ride (2019) a 5,000 mile maintenance on my Electra Glide at the Harley dealership was north of $300.
No telling what it costs now.
