Employers are beginning to tack on a special surcharge of $20 to $50 a month to their unvaccinated workers, according to one of the nation’s largest health benefits consultancies.

I recently added a $25 “didn’t take a dump at work today” surcharge to my employer. Didn’t go over well.

They do this for smoking fwiw

ETA actually companies reduce the cost of health insurance for non smokers. Also will reduce costs for people that go to gym regularly

Not that I would be a part of or encourage such a thing, but a Taliban-like group here in the US would be able to get the Liberals to stop pushing such nonsense.

If that doesn’t work, they will add a zero to the number. If that doesn’t work, you will be denied coverage altogether.

It appears that companies are just passing an increased premium to those at risk causing the increase.

Insurance companies do this yearly without any rationale given to the insured.

Why stop there? Hit smokers and anyone else with health conditions as well.

This is BS pandering at its finest. You have morbidly obese people and smokers working for you that will undoubtedly use health insurance more than someone who doesn't want to be vaccinated.

Logical thought has become nearly nonexistent in this country during this pandemic.
