re: Let's talk Email Etiquette

What about the people who respond “you’re welcome” to the “thank you” email?
At the rate this country is going wouldn’t be surprised to see this:
“Congress passes bill to outlaw sales of traffic cones to those under the age of 21”

Look into Fluvoxamine

Employers are beginning to tack on a special surcharge of $20 to $50 a month to their unvaccinated workers, according to one of the nation’s largest health benefits consultancies.

How was she hospitalized? Thought there were no beds available due to COVID.

“ New Orleans’s mandate applies not only to restaurants and bars, but also breweries, gyms, stadiums like the Superdome and Smoothie King Center, adult performance venues, casinos, and music and event venues.”

So apparently the virus still can’t spread in grocery stores, convenience stores, box stores, etc.

Makes perfect sense.

I hope people start waking up to this complete hypocrisy, incompetence and ignorance.

These things are more addictive than Pringles. Bar-B-Que FTW

That's my guess too. Can't see them keeping this up if the beaches are starting to open up again.

Was just curious if anyone had seen any reports of an end date for the checkpoints and quarantines.
Back to the original question: Are there any reports that the checkpoints and quarantines will be extended past April 30?

Santa Rosa County to re-open beaches May 1

I would be just fine sitting at a condo cooking my own meals and going to the beach/pool.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Rates for the first 2 weeks in May are really cheap right now.

Just don't want to risk a mandatory 14 day quarantine if I only book a condo for a week.
I know they instigated a 14 day quarantine and are doing checkpoints on I-10. And I know there are alternate routes to get into Florida other than I-10.

But does anyone know if the checkpoints and the 14 day quarantine will end on April 30th? Source?

Seeing lots of Florida beaches beginning to open on May 1st with restrictions, but nothing reported about the checkpoints and quarantine.

Will do. Have a phone call with my accountant scheduled for today.

Applied for EIDL grant and for unemployment. We’ll see if either of those work out.

If she had no income before, she wouldn't have lost any income in the shut down?

Her business was making money, she just wasn’t paying herself via payroll.

Looking like the EIDL grant may be her best chance at getting some help. However, still trying for unemployment as well. She may have to temporarily “fire” herself for that to work.

As a side note, 2 years of not working and she's not cash flowing enough to pay herself SOMETHING? What's happening here? I'm hearing a much bigger issue may be at play.

She's getting close to being able to pay herself something. For the first 2 years she's been spending a lot on marketing, training, rent, etc. Income and expenses have been between $25k and $35k per year. We estimated that she would have been able to pay herself this year based on her recent income trends and projections, before the COVID epidemic.

It's frustrating being in this position since her business income has now gone to $0.

ETA I had her apply for unemployment and for the EIDL grant. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

if she isn’t paying herself at all and taking losses, I don’t see how she qualifies for anything but maybe the EIDL. But I’d plan on it being a low interest loan. Hard to argue she lost income when she doesn’t have any

Thanks for the response.

She hasn't been paying herself. She's been putting all of the income that the business generates back into the business. Was looking to be profitable this year but now can't conduct business and make any income with the stay at home mandates.

I was thinking she might qualify for unemployment. Any thoughts on this?
My wife has an LLC operating as an SCorp and she’s the only employee in her business. She’s only been in business for 2 years. In both years the business has operated at a net loss and thus she has not had to do payroll.

Does anyone know if she would qualify for the EIDL grant, the PPP loan, or unemployment?

Having a hard time finding out what she would qualify for based on her unique situation.

TIA
